Question for parents??

Ok fellow parents out there... here's my big question of the day......

HOW THE HECK DO I HANDLE 4 CHILDREN????? 

 If you couldn't tell I may be having  one of those sligtly scared shaking my head wondering what the heck have I gotten myself into kinda days...could be the 2 year old taking down his older brother with the flying tackle???? or maybe the baby climbing onto the couch??? Any tips tricks or advice????

Big Announcement From Mommyknowz

We are very pleased and excited and well a little bit scared ;) to announce that we at the Mommyknowz household are expecting a new little bundle of joy in April of 2013!!!  This will be number 4 for us and we haven't decided if we'd like another boy or a girl.  My Husband says "what the heck would we do with a little girl now!!"  With our crazy tackling rambunctious boys, she would be in for some fun!  and would absolutely hate us when she was a teenager trying to date with 3 older brothers "watching out" for her lol I am very happy to welcome either a boy or a girl so long as they are happy and healthy!

Just went for my 12 weeks ultrasound and baby is growing and healthy!  It was the first time out of the 4 children that it was really put into perspective for me...... so amazed that a fetus can be 6 cm from top of head to bottom of bum yes 6 cm and be a baby..legs arms ...whole bunch of tiny moving beautiful baby!! 6cm!! that's this big

Ozeri Green Earth Frying Pan Review

I LOVE IT, I love it, I love it!!!  Apparently I have never owned a good quality frying pan before because nothing compares to this frying pan!!  I got it and loved the fact that it is a large size pan, bigger then a typical frying pan but not one of the super large ones.  I figured that I would put this pan to the ultimate test right away and fried up some eggs.  The eggs literally slide around the pan!!  I got those perfectly cooked for my hubby and thought I'd make scrambled eggs for myself and again slide around the pan with absolutely nothing stuck on the bottom of the pan!!  It also wipes clean with no effort!!!  Did I say I Love this pan cause in case you didn't get it I LOVE THIS PAN!!!!
I also Love that this pan is both good for my Family and Good for the environment.  It is made from a natural ceramic coating which is 100% PTFE and PFOA FREE!!!!!! Also it is Scratch resistant!! This allows it to be used at high temperatures without releasing toxic chemicals into our family's air and food!! It also has a heat resistant Bakelight handle which makes it great for those one dish meals where you start on the stove top and then put in the oven for that extra bit of tastiness!!

The only thing that could be improved on with this pan is if it came with a lid!

Gentle Goodnights book review

Gentle Goodnights is a short book that teaches parents a great technique of getting their baby to sleep using dance.  The book says any Mom who is breastfeeding can do it but I'd say anyone can especially if your baby will take a soother for the quiet time.

  I love that there are pages devoted to setting the stage including anything you may need, Lots of things are mentioned that I wouldn't have thought of and would have then risked waking a just starting to sleep baby up trying to do or get an item!! 
I love that this sleep method encourages spending quality time with your baby and also give mom a chance to get a little exercise!

How does it work..well you start off your dance with music to match your child's energy level and gradually wind down using different music and dance energy until your baby is peacefully sleeping!  It does take time (more if your baby is very energetic..may take 4 to 5 songs to get them to sleep point) and is tricky if you are home alone and have siblings to your baby...but if Daddy is home it works great!

I think this is a great idea especially if you only have one child or even two but can have the chance to sneak away for a while.

Monkey Balm Review

My boys all have sensitive skin and have all suffered from eczema patches on the cheeks, legs, arms, bums....especially in the cold Canadian winters.  I have tried everything I could think of to help eleavete the flaky red skin aliment including prescription cream that I did not want to use...and NOTHING worked.  I was hopeful when I came across a product called Monkey Balm and was happy to receive one to review. On cue my youngest got a quarter sized patch of scaly eczema skin on his arm two days after receiving!

I was surprised when I open the package as I was expecting a lotion type product but it is like a big tube of lip balm.  Now I understand the "balm".  You just rub it over the affected area as needed and it is supposed to help with eczema, dry skin and sooths minor sunburns, scrapes, rashes and burns.  Best yet it works immediately to help relieve irritation and improves eczema and extreme dry skin in 3 days!

Monkey balm is made with all natural ingredients including the first one on the ingredient list Organic Sea Buckthorn oils (Dr.Oz recommends for acne!!).  It is very easy to use and has no mess you simply rub it on and it stays where you put it.  Monkey Balm is referred to as a Lotion bar and can be used on the whole body.  Mommy found it works great on mommy's too!

I tried Monkey Balm once only so far on Baby Boys arm and am very pleased to say that all the redness is gone and now is just a little dry patch and looks sooo much better!!  I think if I apply once more it will be gone!!!!  I am really wishing that I had found Monkey Balm sooner as my oldest had eczema very bad on his cheeks when he was just 4 months old and it made Mommy feel so bad!  Will defiantly be keeping Monkey Balm in the house now!!
