Cowtown Kids Review

I was so excited to find Cowtown Kids on my search for Cloth diapers because it is an online store that is right here in Calgary.  I was even more excited when I contacted them and found that the owner is expecting her first baby due January 2013!!  Cowtown Kids is all about providing parents with everything they need to make the jump to cloth, owner Kimberly calls it a one stop shop.  I was very very happy to find this is exactly what it is when Kimberly found out I am new to cloth she made sure to send me a package that included everything I'd need to get started including two very cute One size Charlie Banana Diapers, microfiber inserts, disposable inserts, a sample of Rockin Green detergent in a sweet little jar, and the cutest hanging wet bag I've ever seen!  She also offered tons of advice and defiantly knows what she is talking about when it comes to cloth!  I really got a positive vibe from Kimberly at Cowtown Kids and the feeling that no question is too small to ask.

I was sent two Charlie Banana diapers to review and so far these are my favorite for my youngest.  They each came with two microfiber inserts in a large and small size and can be used as a pocket style diaper (where you insert the liner into the pocket) or a hybrid(where you lay an inset on top of the diaper-nice if your going out because if your child has just a pee the insert can be removed and replaced with the same diaper) I really like the Charlie Banana's, they have a nice trim fit and are easy to adjust and put on!  The picture shows the blue diaper at the largest setting and the green at the smallest setting.  I have found that I tend to only use these on one child however because you do have to set the size with the elastics inside the diaper before putting on child so I tend to just leave them sized for the youngest.  It is not difficult at all I am usually just in a hurry.  The two diapers I was sent had a different style of sizing the one is pictured with the buttons the other has a slide adjuster both are simple and easy to adjust.

If you are looking for a one stop Cloth Diaper shop I very much recommend Cowtown Kids.  The customer service was amazing and the products are fantastic.  I loved that Kimberly made sure I had everything I needed and all the information as well, but mostly I loved that it is open door and all questions are welcome. The Cloth diapering world can be VERY daunting for a newbie with all the options lingo and instructions so it is very nice to have someone who is more then happy to help on your cloth diapering journey!
