I have included a picture (from http://kidshealth.org/) of what cleft lip looks like so you can understand how hard it could be for these children without these surgeries!
I felt compelled to write about this wonderful organization
because of my background working with Special needs pre-schooler’s. I have worked with several children who were
in the process of having these surgeries done or had had them done and where at
the stages of learning how to live differently than they had been living.
Learning how to eat, talk and even smile.
The deformities that operation smile helps to fix might just
seem unsightly to some but to the children living with them it effects their daily
life including talking and even just simply eating! Now because of operation smile children around
the world are being helped and healed and being enabled to live a normal life!
I am pleased to inform my readers that a company called
Campus Book Rentals has decided to donate a portion from every book rental to
Operation smile! So I just want to put
it out there and impel my readers who have children or are yourselves attending
