I was super excited to be able to test out Applecheeks cloth diapers from Country Cloth Bottoms! I have heard many great things about Applecheeks but have never had the opportunity to try them before. I was sent a Size One Bamboo Little Bundle as well as a Size Two Bamboo Little Bundle so that I will be able to use on all three of my in diaper children!
Country Cloth Bottoms is located in rural Alberta and serves customers Canada wide! Petra the owner started cloth diapering her daughter but realized that there were no options for local cloth diapers in her area and not allot of information and of course when she Googled cloth diapering well we all know what happens when you Google anything! LOL Tons of websites and a long list of cloth diaper choices. it sure is allot to wade through. So Petra ordered and tried and LOVED cloth diapers and wanted to help bring cloth diapering to other families in her area and around the country! Country Cloth Bottoms offer all the items you could need for cloth diapering all the way to potty training and even some products for mom. There is also a great information section if you ever have any questions.
The opening for the insert in more in the middle for the Applecheeks diapers which makes it so there is no gap and everything stays where it is supposed to stay :)The size one Applecheeks little Bundle fits babies from 7 lbs to 20 lbs and the size two from 20 lbs to 40 lbs. Applecheeks realizes that one size diapers don't actually work that well for newborn babies as they are just too big and bulky so they made the two sizes that will truly get you from birth to potty! The outside of the diaper is made of PUL which is a water proof material and the inner is made with a butter soft micro fleece They diapers have two rows of snaps which allows you to get a nice snug fit with any drooping. The Applecheeks diapers are envelope style so there is an opening at the front that you can stuff the insert into or you have the option of using the diaper as a cover over a fitted diaper or just laying an insert inside. The Little bundle Bamboo comes with the envelope cover in either the size one or two as well as a Bamboo Insert. The insert is made up of 70% rayon from bamboo and 30% cotton and is 2 ply There is also a 3 ply option. You fold the insert into thirds which creates 6 layers of super thirsty fabric..The bamboo inserts need to be prepped washed a few times to reach maximum absorbency. The Little Bundles are also available with Microterry inserts.
I love that Applecheeks diapers come in all sorts of fun and bright colors and they have fun names as well. Mine are the Applitini for the size one and the Forget-me-not in the size two. They also have Cherry tomato,St.Lucia and Raspberry Sorbet! and many more... I really love the fit of these diapers as well they are easy to use and work sooo well at keeping everything inside the diaper where it belongs! It was my first time using this type of tri-fold insert, and I admit I was a bit worried but I love how thirsty they are. I haven't had any leaks at all and I can't wait to try out the size 1 on our new little bundle arriving soon. It is so sweet and small :)
