Ubbi Diaper Pail from Oyaco Review

As many of you know I have been using cloth diapers for a bit now and have been finding many things I like and a few things I dislike.  One big dislike is the smell.  Not to turn anyone off, it is by no means worse then the smell of dirty disposable diapers in a garbage pail.  I have been using small wet bags up till now and while they do the trick I was having to use three different little bags to hold my diapers and the unzipping and zipping and stuffing the diapers in was getting annoying and while they do keep the smells in for the most part three small wet bags was not the ideal solution.  This is why I was SUPER excited to be able to review the Ubbi diaper pail from Oyaco!!  I know it sounds funny to be excited about a pail for stinky diapers but I was!!

The Ubbi is a powder coated steel diaper pail which means it does not absorb odors like a plastic one would  and comes in 11 great colors, I choose Robin's egg blue!  It is oval shaped and slim so it fits nicely anywhere and looks great in babies room :)  You can even buy decals and customize it to your style!

It has a sliding lid that is very easy to use and has a rubber seals which prevent leaks and keep odors locked in. The sliding lid minimizes air disruption which also helps to keep odor in. This I can say really does work as I put it to the full load of cloth diaper test.  One note though is to make sure the door is fully closed otherwise odor of course can escape :) 

  Another really great feature I LOVE is that it has a lock to keep children out!!  Huge bonus, although it is not a hard lock to figure out(you just turn the knob) it is a deterrent for the younger kids!

The Ubbi is very easy to use and load which I like.  It is Convenient & economical as it  fits standard kitchen bags providing savings over pails that use expensive, hard-to-find refills. You simply use any kitchen bag if you are using it for disposable diapers or the washable bags that are available to buy separately if you are using cloth diapers.  This makes this diaper pail way above the rest in my eyes!!  I LOVE that I can use it for either type of diapers or for other things after diapers are done...oh to imagine the day ;)  and the fact that you can use regular old garbage bags instead of spending way to much money on special bags makes me a happy mommy!  I really like to have a diaper pail but ended up with other pails sitting empty because I just couldn't bring myself to spend $10 for a month of use of a garbage!  

I LOVE my Ubbi and know that I will be able to use it for years to come! It is so easy to load use empty and clean!! I highly Highly recommend this diaper pail for all new or old parents!
