Well as much as we don't all like it the winter is upon us..well at least it is here in Calgary, and everyone who knows winter knows the importance of a good winter coat.
I have lived her for the last fifteen years and have had the same coat since that first winter, it is now thin, worn and does not do a very good job at keeping me warm anymore.

And then I tried on the Alpine Escape from Columbia and I was in heaven! This coat is amazing! It is so warm and cozy, I truly wanted to keep it on and wear it to bed. It is perfect for Calgary's cold winter and it is stylish and sophisticated as well.
The Alpine Escape is very warm and has Columbia's Omni-Heat™ reflective lining and is filled with 550 fill power down insulation which makes for a very warm but breathable coat and is also waterproof so you stay nice and dry. it has a remove able and adjustable hood that has as removable faux fur edge which I love!
One of the things I love most about this coat is the long adjustable sleeves and cuffs, I have a lot of trouble finding coats that have long enough sleeves for my arms and usually end up with a 3/4 length look but I was beyond pleased when this coat had long comfortable sleeves that fit me perfectly. I also love the 2-way front zipper. Being a larger sized woman I have a larger bottom half then top half so have trouble finding clothes and coats that fir properly, with the zippered bottom I can easily slide the zipper up when I am sitting down or getting into the car so that the zipper isn't pulled. There are tons of pockets and with the classical length , drop tail and adjustable waist it is sure to be a jacket loved by many!
