Thanksgiving has come and gone for us Canadains but our neighbours in the US are just getting ready to stuff their turkeys and enjoy some family time. But not everyone is able to get together for holidays weather due to time restrictions or lack of funds many end up spending their holiday alone and then miss out on many of the traditions that make holidays so special.
SC Johnson did a consumer survey and found that nearly half (46 percent) of Americans who spent holidays alone did so beacaue of lack of money and with the average cost a travel during the holidays being approximately $560 (and I feel that's on the low side!) two out of five said that they would not be able to get home to family this year.

I always cry at these Holiday ads and I am sure this year will be no exception as I never get home for the holidays.
